Be a pineapple: stand tall, wear a crown and be sweet on the inside

I had just about recovered from the emotional farewells, then 'This Is Me' came on the radio on the way home and I was off again!

Just a note to reiterate what I said this afternoon. I feel blessed and privileged to have taught your children for the last two years. They have grown into such lovely young adults and you must be immensely proud of all they have achieved. I am sure they will continue to enjoy much success in this new and exciting chapter of their lives.

Thank you so much for all of the gifts I received-I am completely overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity you have shown.

I look forward to seeing some of you around school next year, but for those of you who are moving on from St. Dominics, thank you for all you have done for the school.

Now time for a well deserved rest over the summer holidays. Whatever you have planned, have fun and stay safe.

Well, what a final week it's been!

On Tuesday morning, the children took part in their class mass. It was a lovely - albeit slightly emotional - service! Thank you all for coming and being a part of it.

In the evening, the children took to the stage to perform our production of 'Oliver!' I was so proud of them all and how well they coped when things didn't quite go according to plan - they showed themselves to be true professionals! I think you will agree - it truly was a wonderful performance!

On Wednesday morning, Ubu represented the class in our termly spelling bee. I am very pleased and proud to announce that she won! This is the first time the class have won so we were delighted.

In the afternoon, we watched 'The Greatest Showman' whilst enjoying crisps, popcorn, sweets and chocolate as a reward for all their hard work this year.
